Buckham Down, want to help make it even more stunning

The countryside team at Dorset County Council are giving Buck ham

Down a make-over. See message from Ollie Harraway who is coordinating the work. He would really appreciate help. Many of you have wanted to get involved in countryside volunteer days, this one could be a perfect day, stunning views, great for children, have a think about 29 July.

From Ollie

I am looking for volunteers who may be intrested in working at Buckham Down on Tue 29th July, this would be raking off grass that was cut earlier this week, putting it in ricks and movinging to the undergrowth, this would be to help prepare the site for a green hay transfer from Hillfield Hill. Buckham Down is a small site that is a bit of a sun trap with great views of Beaminster and Hilfield Hill has heath, grassland and woodland.

I know this is quite short notice but we would be grateful for some help.

If you cannot make it but might be intrested to help in the future we would also be grateful.

If you need directions or more information please call or email.

Many Thanks
