- Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service Media release Last call for the Prince’s Trust Team Programme There are a final few spaces remaining for the upcoming Prince’s Trust Team programme being delivered by Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service in Bournemouth this September. We are looking for unemployed young people to take part in an exciting 12 week course to learn new skills and improve their confidence and motivation. The upcoming Team programme will be based at Kinson Community Centre and will run from Monday 25 September until Friday 15 December. A taster day will be held at the centre for eligible participants on Wednesday 20th September at 11am, for people to find out more information and meet the team. The course will give unemployed young people aged between 16 and 25 the skills and confidence to find a job, with three in four young people supported by The Prince’s Trust, moving into work, education or training. Participants will get involved in team building activities, a four-day residential trip in Dartmoor, complete a community project, and take part in two weeks of work experience during the programme. They will also get advice on how to write CVs, practice interview skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications. Rob Guy, Youth Intervention Manager, said: “We welcome young people to come along to our taster day to meet the team and find out more. The 12 week programme is all about helping young people to learn new skills and achieve their potential. It really is an exciting opportunity and we are asking anyone who is currently unemployed and between the ages of 16 and 25, who would like to gain qualifications and improve their motivation and confidence, to get in touch.” If you would like to find out more about the upcoming Team programme or register an interest to apply, please contact Rob Guy on 07739 899293 or email rob.guy@dwfire.org.uk
